I have done a number of change ups for the 60052-1 Cargo train set. The set is a good start point to develop from. This driver cab for the set's crane is one of those basics that lends itself to extension.
The 60052-1 set crane winch is both functional & has some level of real life but is very basic. I decided that something more interesting was required.
My cab design uses all the parts from the standard winch & requires a small number of additional parts that aren't too exotic. This build has been modeled on Studio and is available for download on Bricklink Gallery and Rebrickable. The Studio file does not include the black barrier & ladder mounted on the main crane structure.
I'll have more upgrades to the 60052-1 crane & building in later entries.
