60052-1 Delivery truck - Alternate build

As much as I liked the 60052-1 Cargo train set when it came out, there were elements of the set that either needed improvement or I didn't really like. The delivery truck fits into that category. The original truck (below) is OK and looks like any number of suburban light trucks but I felt it was a bit out of place in a freight yard.

My creation is more like a larger style of truck with capacity for a 6x10 container in addition to the standard pallets and bits & pieces that come with the original set.

 The new build requires only a small number of additional parts (below) to complete. None of them are particularly exotic. As is always the case with Lego, you substitute what you have in your collection and make do.

 One of the design upgrades is a tow hitch. that is compatible with the trailer unit from the 60169-1 Cargo set.

This MOC may or may not be better than the original delivery truck but is different which is what Lego is all about.
